Joel Rosenberger

About

Joel Rosenberger is a contemporary folk pianist who plays the old stuff... hymns and folk tunes from the turn of the 20th century and before. And his music is quiet. You would probably fall asleep during his concert. And it's probably not advisable to listen while operating heavy machinery...
One day in 2005, Joel decided to plug his piano into his PC, record an old hymn, and release it as a podcast. Due to the unexpected response, he kept at it, releasing several CDs, as well as sheet music. Today he continues to find new ways to play the old hymns, and enjoys enriching the lives of others with his peaceful hymn and folk arrangements.  When he's not recording, he enjoys trading the piano for an old time fiddle, Irish tenor banjo, or accordion, and playing traditional tunes with the active musician community in and around his home in Saratoga Springs, NY, just shy of the Adirondack mountains.
